The Open House marked a historic moment as Ford reaffirmed its commitment to Detroit with the acquisition and planned renovation of Michigan Central Station. The public was invited to celebrate and explore the interior of this iconic architectural landmark. This event was especially significant, as it was the first time in over 30 years that the building had been open to the public.

At the event, digital stations lining the main hall allowed you to explore key moments in history. As you delved into stories and images, words seamlessly floated from the screens onto the grand arches, ultimately converging on a stunning 65-foot barrel-vaulted ceiling. Guests also had the opportunity to share their visions for Detroit’s future—imagining its landscape and community needs. These collective ideas were artistically woven together and projected on the ceiling, creating a powerful composition that fused historical moments with the voices of the community.
